I’m going to show you how brain retraining helped me recover from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) naturally, and how you can do it the RIGHT way, so that you can start healing today & get back to your high-performer self.
In case you’re wondering why you should listen to me, I’m Jeff and I struggled with CFS for over 3 years, and at the worst of it, I was bedridden for 3 months. I tried everything—diets, supplements, the meds, doctors and specialists. Nothing worked. And I worried I’d be stuck this way forever.
Thankfully I found a mentor who taught me brain retraining the RIGHT way.
Then I gave brain retraining a real shot, and within months, everything changed. I was back to work full-time, walking over 10k steps a day, working out again, socializing and enjoying life again.
Now, since my old mentor doesn’t teach anymore, I feel it’s my duty to share what he taught me. So in this video, I’m going to show you how brain retraining helped me recover from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome naturally.
Because I believe if I can recover, so can you.

Quick disclaimer: No, I’m not a doctor, this is NOT medical advice, just my experience. But I DO know what it’s like to have your life put on hold by chronic fatigue, and more importantly, I know how to beat it, even when some doctors say it’s incurable.
What is "brain retraining" and why does it work?
Brain retraining is a scientifically-backed method that rewires your brain and recalibrates your nervous system to promote healing. It’s based on neuroplasticity—the brain’s incredible ability to change and adapt. When it comes to chronic fatigue, there’s a glitch in how your brain and nervous system communicate. This glitch traps you in a chronic stress response, stuck in fight, flight, or freeze mode.
Brain retraining helps you shift out of this survival state into a healing state. It rewires your brain and nervous system so your body can begin to recover deeply and naturally. I like to call brain retraining the “one practice to rule them all,” because it combines multiple healing techniques into one powerful system.
- Breathwork: Calms your nervous system and oxygenates your brain.
- Meditation: Builds awareness and reduces stress.
- Physiology: Changes emotional states within the body.
- Visualization: Rewires subconscious patterns.
- Positive Self-Talk: Reprograms limiting beliefs.
- Placebo Effect: Harnesses the power of self-belief for healing.
Think of brain retraining like a multivitamin for your mind, combining these techniques into one daily practice that deeply supports your recovery.
The key benefits of brain retraining...
When you commit to brain retraining, you’ll start to notice profound changes in your body and mind:

I know these benefits work because I lived them. Brain retraining was the game changer in my own recovery from CFS.
Understanding brain retraining rounds...
A brain retraining session is called a “round.” Each round typically lasts between 3 to 10 minutes. The rounds I create for clients last about 4 to 5 minutes each, but if you enjoy a round, you can stay in it longer—even up to an hour for extra healing.
Think of a round like a workout for your brain and nervous system. Just as physical exercise strengthens your body, these rounds strengthen new, healthier neural pathways that promote healing.
Why do these rounds work? Your brain constantly rewires itself based on what you focus on. If it’s stuck in a fight-or-flight loop, it keeps sending danger signals to your body, making healing difficult. Brain retraining interrupts that loop and teaches your brain a new, healthier response that promotes calm and recovery.
The most powerful brain retraining rounds for healing...
I use five powerful types of brain retraining rounds in my healing practice. Three of these are daily essentials, and two are bonus rounds to use as needed:
Daily Rounds
- Relaxation Rounds: Calm your nervous system and shift out of fight-or-flight.
- Self-Compassion Rounds: Rewire negative self-patterns and rebuild self-love.
- Self-Belief Rounds: Strengthen your confidence and accelerate your recovery.
Bonus Rounds
- Immunity Rounds: Use these when you feel sick or are about to get sick to boost recovery and reduce severity.
- Nonchalance Rounds: Clear stressful, nagging thoughts that loop in your head for hours, helping you find peace faster.
How to integrate brain retraining into your daily life...
For best results, aim to complete 10 or more brain retraining rounds daily while healing. Once you recover, you can taper down to 3 to 5 rounds per day, and eventually stop if you choose. Personally, I still do 1 to 3 rounds a day to maintain the benefits.
Here’s an example schedule to integrate brain training rounds into your daily routine:
- Wake Up: Do a relaxation round in bed (4–5 minutes).
- Morning (Before or After Breakfast): Do relaxation, self-compassion, and self-belief rounds (12–15 minutes total).
- Midday (Before or After Lunch): Do relaxation and self-compassion rounds (under 10 minutes).
- Evening (Before or After Dinner): Do relaxation, self-compassion, and self-belief rounds (under 15 minutes).
- Bedtime: Do a relaxation round in bed before sleep (4–5 minutes).
You can add immunity and nonchalance rounds as needed. For example, use immunity rounds when feeling sick or exposed to illness to reduce symptoms and duration. Use nonchalance rounds to quickly stop persistent, looping negative thoughts that can last for hours—something many with chronic fatigue struggle with due to their nervous system being stuck in fight or flight.
The importance of the 3 core rounds...
Relaxation rounds are the most important. They make up half of your daily rounds because healing chronic fatigue means calming your nervous system. Many people fail to recover with brain retraining because they focus on the wrong thing—trying to rewire energy instead of relaxation.
Think about it: chronic fatigue is caused by your nervous system being stuck in fight or flight. The opposite of fight or flight is rest and digest—relaxation. This is why relaxation rounds are the foundation of healing.
Next are self-compassion rounds. Long-term chronic fatigue often leads to self-loathing and frustration because you can’t do what you once could. These rounds rebuild your self-love and optimism, helping you reconnect with your true, joyful self.
Finally, self-belief rounds are crucial. After years of struggling, it’s easy to doubt whether you’ll ever recover. These rounds build rock-solid confidence and hope, reinforcing your belief that healing is possible.
